Since september 2010,
Working Vision has provided eye-screening exams for over 2000 workers in Nepal and India. Exams are provided by Working Vision’s amazing team of ophthalmologists and ophthalmic technicians.
Because we perform our eye screening exams at actual job sites, no one has to miss a day of work to benefit from our programs. For workers with an average daily wage of $1.25, leaving work for a doctor’s appointment isn’t an option.
For many patients, these are the first eye exams they’ve ever had. We screen for common eye diseases, like glaucoma, dry eye, and refractive error (i.e. nearsightedness, astigmatism, etc). For participants with poor vision due to refractive error, a simple pair of glasses is all that is needed to restore excellent vision.
